AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hello,
Welcome to the Delta Theta chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Texas Woman’s University! In 1897 at Barnard College, four unique and strong women set out to create morals and values unlike any other. Coming from very diverse backgrounds, these women proved that accepting our differences is what makes our bond stronger than the rest. It has been 125 years, and our sisterhood has done nothing but grow. Installed on this campus in 1984, we have achieved high standards in the academic world and community at large.

Our members excel in balancing schoolwork, jobs, leadership positions, and the responsibilities of our membership, all while maintaining a high-ranking GPA on campus. We take pride in academics and are continuously striving to improve and be our best selves. The women of Delta Theta are required to take part in another organization on campus, volunteer each month, and much more to help lead us to exceed expectations.

We are teaching our members to grow in ways they never thought possible. We create leaders, build up each other’s confidence and offer support no matter what the situation. As a student, you may be looking for a home away from home, a support group or even a friend. We are all unique and when together, we become a beautiful bouquet of roses. We would love to help you bloom and grow into your fullest potential through an organization built on faith, hope, and love.

Roses,

Ruby Hernandez
